Your Impact:

Thriving communities. Healthy cities. A brighter future. At Jacobs, what we do is more than a job, we work every day to make the world better for all.

In our strategic advisory work, we’re empowering our clients to deliver smarter, more sustainable and more affordable solutions for tomorrow. From optimising asset performance to developing robust strategic programs, from planning Australia’s next suburban smart town to protecting vulnerable countries against rising oceans – we’re committed to aiming higher in all that we do, because what we do counts.

We have exciting opportunities for Interns to join our Advisory team this summer. Working alongside our Senior Strategic Advisory professionals, you'll research economic literature, conduct data analysis and write reports for a range of ANZ projects. The work we perform is diverse – spanning a wide range of markets from Transport and Water to Power and Renewable Generation – and you'll build linkages and networks across a range of teams.

Ready to make your impact on tomorrow? We’re seeking thinkers and doers, visionaries and change-makers to join our 2024/25 Summer Internship Program!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Ideally, you’re in your penultimate year at university studying a degree related to one or more of the following fields: Commerce, Economics, Finance or a similar field.

Bring your curiosity, collaborative spirit and strong communication skills, and we’ll help you grow, pursue and fulfil what drives you – so we can make big impacts on the world, together.

Your Jacobs Journey

As an Intern at Jacobs, you’ll be a valued member of our team from Day 1 and work on real projects, bids and tenders from the get-go. Under the guidance and mentorship of our experts and industry leaders you’ll be equipped with the skills and knowledge to deliver the boldest solutions for the extraordinary and the everyday.

From gaining hands-on experience to participating in networking events and structured learning sessions, you’ll find new and inventive ways to help our clients make the world a better place. You'll impact the world around you by helping us solve real-life challenges. YOU are the future of our company. We’ll rely on you to provide support to our teams on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusion as you bring fresh ideas to the table.

We see our interns and graduates as the future leaders of our business, which is why we’re delighted to have placed #13 in the Australian Financial Review’s Top 100 Graduate Employers award for ‘Most Popular Employer’ in 2023! No matter what drives you, you’ll discover how you can cultivate, nurture, and achieve your goals – all at a single global company.

Jacobs. A world where you can.

Jacobs is powered by more than 50,000 people across the globe who deliver innovative scientific, technical, professional and program management solutions for the public and private sector.

We're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Joining Jacobs not only connects you locally but globally - and together, our diverse perspectives and unique backgrounds power our collective strength. From our inclusive employee networks, to our positive mental health champions – we’re committed to driving a culture of caring where you can be you. We know that if we are inclusive, we’re more connected, and if we are diverse, we’re more creative. We accept people for who they are, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, mental health, race, faith or belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and whether you’re pregnant or on family leave. This is reflected in our wide range of Global Employee Networks centred on inclusion and diversity – ACE, Careers, Enlace, Harambee, OneWorld, Prism, Vetnet, and Women’s Network.

With safety, accessibility and flexibility always top of mind, we’ve gone beyond traditional ways of working so you have the support, means and space to maximise your potential. You’ll uncover flexible working arrangements, benefits, and opportunities to do good too – from participating in our global giving and volunteering program, to delivering ever more innovative and sustainable solutions for clients and communities.

Graduate Success Stories

  • Graduate stories
It’s the extra roles and committees outside of project work that I treasure most and that makes me feel included. Roles such as being the lead of the First Nations Committee; this role allows me to embrace my culture and heritage within the business and gives me the confidence to bring the complete ‘Nick’ to work every day.
